About Us

For almost a decade, I worked as a primary school teacher. It was stable, familiar, and safe. But quietly, in the background, there was always something else pulling at me.

Food has always felt natural to me. I grew up around it; with a family rooted in the food and hospitality industry, it was just part of my everyday life. In between “working” (which often meant snacking and making food for myself) at my parents’ restaurant or being home alone, I would naturally find myself cooking or baking. I've always found it fun and was almost an outlet for me to be creative.

Still, pursuing it seriously felt risky. Walking away from something secure to step into the unknown isn’t an easy decision, and for a long time I let that idea just sit in the background.

CHOKKO is me finally choosing to explore it. I got to a point where I kept thinking, “if not now, then when?” It’s a big leap and probably the biggest risk I’ve taken, but it also feels right in a way I can’t really explain.

This is just the beginning. A small step towards building something of my own, something creative, thoughtful, and centred around the joy of sharing food.

Thank you for being here and supporting this next chapter 🤍
